People always ask me, "How do I make money playing poker?"
And my short answer is, "Win multitable tournaments."
That's how I won most of my poker money, and that's what I primarily focus on these days.
In fact, I recently played in a $5,000 tournament at Bellagio. I took 1st place and cashed for $150,000!
Every poker player I know dreams of taking down a large tournament... Do you?
It makes perfect sense if you think about it...
Hundreds or even thousands of players put up their money to enter a multitable tournament...
but only around 10% of the field gets in the money.
But just getting in the money isn't good enough... you really have to go after
the top spots in these multitable tournaments if you want to see a BIG return on your poker investments.
Just look at the WSOP main event as an example. To just get in the money,
you will have had to outlast almost 90% of the field... but you won't even double your investment!
You'll have to do 90% as much work as the person who comes in 1st, but you'll only win 1/464th as much.
In other words, you win exponentially more as you move closer to the top of the prize pool
in any multitable tournament.
